Sunday Smoothies for Everyday
Blueberry and Green Tea Smoothie,
a great breakfast drink!
Bonus! Green tea and blueberries abound in antioxidants to protect your cells from free radicals.
Almonds provide natural protein and healthy monounsaturated fats, while flaxseed adds inflammation-fighting omega-3 fats to any smoothie.
1/4 - cup water
2 - green tea bags
2 - cups fresh or frozen blueberries
3 - ice cubes (optional)
12oz - fat free vanilla yogurt
2 tbsp. - whole dry-roasted, unsalted almonds (about 20)
2tbsp. - ground flaxseed
You may also want to freeze fresh blueberries overnight.
Place tea, blueberries, ice, yogurt, almonds and flaxseed in blender.
Process until smooth
Makes 2 servings: Share or save one serving for tomorrow's breakfast!
