Smoothies are often thought by some as high calorie drinks full of sugars with yogurt or ice cream. These are really known as milkshakes :-) A true blended Smoothie will have an assortment of produce for an extra boost of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. A great way to receive your daily colors. Smoothies are so easy to put together and the selection of healthy ingredients is almost limitless. I try to use mostly fresh produce but will at times use frozen fruits and vegetables. |
